Sphior Margin — Privacy Policy

What the app does

Sphior Margin enforces checkout rules (discount caps, validation, payment/delivery customization, tiered pricing) using Shopify Functions and reports the margin it protected. Enforcement runs entirely inside Shopify; the Functions cannot make external network calls.

Data we access

• Orders (read) — to compute Measured ROI from applied discounts.
• Products (read) — to resolve products/collections referenced in rules.
• Discounts (write) — to create the automatic discount that enforces caps.
• Shop info — plan, currency, name, and the store owner email (for the optional monthly summary).

Data we store

Only aggregated daily metrics (prevented amounts, order/event counts, influenced GMV), your rule configuration, short-lived measurement events (no PII; a non-identifying token only, deleted nightly after roll-up), and the sessions required for the embedded app. We do not store customer names, emails, addresses, or payment details.

GDPR / data requests

We implement Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact). We hold no customer-level personal data to return or erase; on uninstall we delete all data for the shop.

Sub-processors

Shopify (platform & billing), our database host (PostgreSQL), and an email provider for the optional monthly summary.

Retention

Aggregated daily metrics are kept for trend reporting; raw measurement events are deleted after nightly roll-up; all shop data is deleted on uninstall.
